Tom, Campbell and Bradley proudly display their Bronze Chief Scout Award Certificates

Well done to Tom, Campbell and Bradley for being awarded their Bronze Chief Scout Awards. The Chief Scout Awards take a lot of effort and it’s great seeing three Beavers acheive the award.

Family Camp 2012

Family Camp 2012 at Walton Firs was great fun and we managed to dodge quite a lot of the rain.  Dingo and all the team did a fantastic job of organising it all.  Here’s some photos to give you a taste of the weekend.

Beaver Autumn Programme

Dear Parents

Welcome back.  Hope you all had a good summer and enjoyed watching all the Olympic coverage (I am writing this whilst cheering on Tom Daley!).  We have a another packed programme for Autumn term starting with our own Paralympics and then travelling round Europe in the footsteps of Wally (all will be revealed!).  We will also be having a visit from Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and then holding a fundraising event to help the Beavers learn about helping others.

As previously we have included all families on our weekly parent rota.  Please could you make a note of when you are scheduled and if you have a problem with your allocated dates then please can you either swap with another parent or speak to Kate or Andy.  Please don’t just fail to turn up as this makes running activities very difficult.   A couple of the events need additional adults to maintain Adult/Beaver ratios as defined by the Scout Association, so we have allocated three parents for these events.

Due to the fact that it is a long term (14 weeks!) and both Connaught and Bagshot have INSET days after half term please note we will have two weeks off for half term.

Kate Cox, BSL
